Another 6x6 Aquabord

Oil pastels, Neocolor II, Cretacolor Aquastic & Dr Ph Martins Liquid Watercolor

I learned the technique for this from the book "Dynamic Acrylics" and I really enjoyed it. I'm definitely going to continue using this technique because I get to use all my favorite mediums in one painting

I created shapes using drops from the watercolor and I highlighted them with the oil pastels & watercolor crayons

I spend a lot of time also painting with oil pastels-  I tend to switch back and forth between water-soluble crayons and oil pastels. Since my love of oil pastels (except the water-soluble kind) doesn't quite fit in with the rest of this blog I have added my pastel work to the page "Other Artwork" in case you are interested!!

 I'd love to add some oil pastel reviews- but there are already plenty of good websites available for those :) However, I will be posting some new crayon art soon. I am going to try some new surfaces to paint on- including wood panels. More soon!
