International Arrivals

This review is on 3 different products by International Arrivals: Neon Pop, Rainy Dayz and Sparkle Watercolor Gel Crayons.

The first set of crayons were "Neon Pop." They come in a 6 pack hinged box. They can be used as both highlighters and crayons. They are twistable & water-soluble.

These crayons were very smooth and easy to cover large spaces with. I love the texture and the unique colors

The first column I did the gel crayons dry then added water to the right hand side. The colors are fairly faint, particularly the yellow when activated by water. However I did the right column by directly adding color to a wet surface and they were very vivid and bright

I did a quick sketch with these crayons and I loved how it turned out! The pink & purple are really vivid- even when water was added. I decided not to use water on the bottom flower in the orange & yellows and they really stood out against the pink. The top flower I blended the yellow and orange and they didn't fade nearly as bad as they did in the swatch. This sketch was done on Strathmore mixed media Visual Journal paper

The next set of crayons was RainyDayz which come in a 12 pack. These crayons are also twistable & water-soluble but a little smaller and did not come in the hardy boxes the other 2 came in. These can be used on windows & mirrors- however I just tested them on paper :) I may have to test them out on my mirror next

These came in a wonderful variety of colors. All of them except the peach color stayed bright and vivid when water was added. That was my only complaint! They have a very smooth consistency and were smaller and easier to do details with than the 2 other crayons made by this brand.

Here's a quick sketch I did with RainyDayz. I love the way they blended and when the paper was still wet I put the crayon directly on the water (the dark fur) and the colors turned out even brighter. These were my favorite of the 3 types of crayons

The last and final product by International Arrivals were the 12 pack of Sparkle watercolor gel crayons. These (again) are twistable and come in a awesome sturdy hinged box.

The color variety is good but I wish that there were colors that were more red & orange. But the sparkle on them is WONDERFUL

When I did the color swatch- every color except for the light blue & light green stayed bright and vivid. I had to take another picture to show you how beautiful the sparkles were- especially after water was added...

So lovely! I enjoyed these crayons a lot and I think the iridescence on them would be awesome in bird feathers, seascapes and a million other things.

I thought these would be really good for coloring so I tried it out. I didn't use water but I smoothed them out with a kleenex to blend the colors. The only downside to that was a lot of the sparkle disappears. I think these would be very difficult to use with fine details but are perfect for larger designs.

All 3 crayons can be purchased at www.intlarrivals.com and www.amazon.com
